EMC - First Egyptian Company to be Awarded a Contract with Angola LNG for Maintenance Manpower Support Services.

Continuing EMC’s significant success in the International Market, EMC has been awarded a milestone Maintenance Manpower Support Contract for ALNG.

The contract is for a one year period with a total value of 2.3 Million USD subject to extension for an additional two years. The contract provides support for various disciplines e.g. electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, integrity and maintenance planning services and is an initial step to further EMC’s scope of work to be a Global Maintenance Contractor for the ALNG plant and its Facilities.

The successful award of this contract is historic in EMC being the first Egyptian Company in the Maintenance Field to penetrate the lucrative Angolan Market.

The contract award provides further evidence of the success of the strategy adopted by EMC’s management to diversify the company’s activities into the International Market and in line with the Egyptian Government approach and Ministry of Petroleum directive to expand and diversify into the African Market Arena.

Angola LNG is a major LNG producer with operations in Angola with a modern LNG processing facilities in Soyo. The operation is composed of a consortium of major international oil and gas companies which include Sonangol and affiliates of Chevron, Total, BP and ENI. Angola LNG has the potential to produce one billion cubic feet of clean gas per day for domestic and international markets.
